A retractable awning over the terrace makes it ideal for outdoor meals. The garden adjoins the owners’ at the rear but is cleverly closed off for privacy with wrought iron and mirrored gates. It is an ideal house/garden to relax in after a day visiting the Arts precinct; the tennis; the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre; the Botanic Gardens; or the popular beaches of St Kilda, Elwood and Port Melbourne. Public transport is excellent and there is easy tram/bus/train access to central Melbourne for shopping and other tourist attractions; or to Melbourne University in Carlton or as far as Latrobe and Monash Universities. Sorry, party-lovers, it is not at all suited to having parties because of the close proximity of neighbours and has a strict no-party policy to prevent disturbance to them.

The streets of Windsor and Prahran are quaint and consist of charming single fronted Victorian homes. With the city, Southbank, St Kilda and South Yarra nearby this popular area is a great base whilst staying in Melbourne.
With a colorful and bohemian feel, this is where you’ll find some of the best retro clothing and bric a brac in Melbourne.

Not far from Windsor is Prahran Market, one of the best places in Melbourne to buy fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and deli items.
There, you may see a drag queen doing her shopping at the market in full make up and a tight sparkly dress at 9.00am on Saturday morning. No doubt she is the one that just left one of the gay bars you’ll find in the area. She’ll be there alongside mums, dads and toddlers, elderly people and groovy young things.
